 - by default splashy is not put in initramfs
 - test package
 - close filehandles afterwards
 - open the named pipe file descriptor only when it's needed
 - moves code to before lock is got
 - code moved strategically. close filehandles before event buffer for keyboard is setup. not after
 - announce where the debs are made
