Drop CUPS 1.2 patches that no longer apply because
support was added for 3.5.5.
Of course, some of the patches still apply and look
very relevant, so we'll keep them.
Also, the new CUPS support still suffers from the
problem of telling the user that CUPS is broken
even when the only issue is that no printers are
defined. Dumb dumb dumb.
So I've cobbled together some changes (really from
the old cups patches, which actually worked) that
seems to solve the issue without hosing anything
too obvious. Of course please test, because I really
don't know what I'm doing.

Gah, I don't feel like rewriting a large, long doc that few people will
read. The best way to learn how to package is to look at packaging, ask
questions, help out the Qt/KDE team, or the KDE Extras team.
So let's drop the out-of-date Packaging.txt. Of course, if someone else
thinks it worthwhile, go ahead and re-write it, and re-add it to the
packaging.

Enabling inotify doesn't seem to prevent KDE from using fam/gamin
if installed, which is good since then remote /home users can still
use fam. But now gamin is pointless, since it is only local, and you
might as well use KDE's own inotify support.
If anyone's understanding of the situation is different, let me know,
since the -packager thread was a bit confusing.

Building against libgamin-dev doesn't mean kdelibs4c2a depends on libgamin anymore.
Now the shlibs have been changed so it ends up depending on libfam0, which is OK,
since gamin Provides fam. So building against gamin doesn't force our users to use
gamin.

Since we really ought to upload a new kdelibs soon, I'll commit
this "good enough for now" solution. Of course, that doesn't mean
we have to use it - if someone wants to implement something better
in the near future, then great. But honestly, I doubt that what I'm
committing will cause us trouble. There probably won't be many
changes to kdelibs' KDE_3_4_BRANCH at this point, and they'll probably
be very minor, artwork tweaks, etc.
Changelog will still need updating for whatever is decided to go in the
final upload.

Bump the libfam-dev build-dep one tiny notch, from -7.1 to -7.2 (7.1 was the gcc
transition upload; 7.2 made it actually work). 7.2 has been built/installed on
all arches.
Also, drop the versioning from kdelibs4-dev's dep on libfam-dev. Shouldn't
really matter, and this way libgamin-dev can be installed, or so it claimed
(packages building now).

Remove kdelibs build-dep on libxrender-dev, since this is pulled in by Qt,
and we haven't been strict about listing all build-deps, but let libqt3-mt-dev
(or for other KDE modules, libqt3-mt-dev and kdelibs4-dev) pull in the needed
basic dependencies.
Looking at Ubuntu, it seems that they include libxi-dev in kdelibs' build-deps.
Since we'll probably need to add this to Qt's build-deps eventually
(for tablet support), maybe we should just add it to Qt's build-deps (and
libqt3-mt-dev's deps) now?

Note that by default, all libs will be given an shlibs value equal to the
upstream version, assuming that PACKAGES_WITH_LIBS is correct and complete.
If you need finer control, i.e. branch pulls add new symbols, then uncomment
the lines:

OK, old oo.org + new-KDE should work - nothing
spectacular changed in the .desktop files that I can
see. So Replaces only - one against pre-mimelnk oo.org,
and one against (<< 1.1.3) oo.org-mimelnk. Hopefully
this is right... peer review would be great :)

Here's a bit of explanation:
I'll try to explain it again: It's all about the string
comparison: If somestring is a variable of type "char*", then
'somestring == "something"' in C++ and C is not a string
comparison, but a pointer comparison. It checks that the variable
somestring points to the same region of memory that "something" is
put in. Now, the C++ standard leaves some behaviour wrt. string
storage undefined, but what g++ does, is that if it finds two
string literals containing the same thing, it stores them only
once, if the two strings are in the same compile unit or link unit
or whatever unit it takes for this. Anyway, what happens in your
case ( where it works properly ) is that, the first time that the
function is called with "something" as an argument, it is by
chance one of the identical strings in the same compile unit, and
the check happens to succeed. The function then caches the result
it just calculated, and all further invocations of the function
give the correct result. However, if the first invocation of the
function happens to be a string from another compile unit, then
the pointer comparison fails, the function calculates the wrong
result, and this result is cached for all further invocations. I
debugged the bug that was described in this bug report, and this
is in fact the case.
