"Hmm, why do I always end up patching upstream source?" commit. Fixed:
 * Network streaming support was very unreliable.
 * Shoutcast metadata support was non-existent.

There are still a few small issues on the amarok-engine-yauap side with volume and lastfm streams,
but yauap seems to be a very competitive alternative to the xine engine. One of its main advantages is that
it apparently uses less CPU.

Let's upload Gwenview first, though, to serve as guinea pig.

It turns out that the @ marks comments in the ARM assembler
spec; using % instead should, in theory, work everywhere.

The whole thing is still awfully hackish, but it seems to work
well enough for now (CDBS really should build something like

kdelibs' debian/rules, modified to point out how trivial it would be to adapt the packages to this split.

The decision to place stuff in one .mk or the other was somewhat arbitrary. Please, fellow teammembers, have
a look at this and let's decide what should stay in kde.mk (and get pushed upstream) and what should be in
qt-kde.mk (or whatever we decide to call it).

Also, feel free to commit changes here - don't worry about its location in people/chrsmrtn.

Preparing kdebindings 3.3.1-2 packages, new changelog entries being:

  * Don't build java packages on mipsen, since gcj is not available there (and
    gcj-3.4 will be removed soon). Changes needed:

    - debian/control: add "[!mips !mipsel]" stanzas to Build-Depends entries
      for gij, gcj, libgcj4-dev and fastjar.

    - debian/rules: exclude libdcop3-jni, libqt3-jni and libkde3-jni (via
      appropriate -N arguments in DH_OPTIONS) when $DEB_BUILD_GNU_TYPE is mips
      or mipsel. (Change done here and not in debian/control's Architecture:
      field for the benefit of unofficial architectures.)

  * Fix build failure on machines with a lower limit on argument list length,
    e.g. q650 on the m68k buildd network. Modify the already existing patch
    030-koala-makefile-too-much-arguments.diff to apply the same changes to
    qtjava/javalib/org/kde/qt/Makefile.in.

Packaging updates, changelog entries being:

  * debian/amarok.1:
    - correct "hyphen vs. minus sign" usage.

  * Taglib 1.3 is now in the archive:
    - removed debian/patches/taglib-1.2-suffices.patch.
    - update Build-Depends to libtag1-dev (>= 1.3).

  * Make amarok recommend: kdemultimedia-kio-plugins, since otherwise it won't
    be able to play audio CDs. Added note stating so to README.Debian.

  * Added note to README.Debian explaining why the amarokapp and
    amarok_xmmswrapper2 binaries are shipped in /usr/lib/amarok instead of
    /usr/bin, differing from upstream.

- Standardize the use of double-colon rules. Extra rules should be
  written after the include debian/common/rules.mk line, to ensure the
  corresponding *-stamp rule has been run.

- Nuke build-{arch,indep}. One build target seems to suffice.
  BUILD_{ARCH,INDEP_MAKE_TARGETS becomes BUILD_MAKE_TARGETS.

- Install now works like this: there is the make-install target, that
  installs files into debian/tmp. Manipulation on debian/tmp/* files can
  happen in the make-install:: double-colon rule.

  The install rule now calls all dh_install* scripts (moved from
  binary-common). dh_install is called with --list-missing (which now
  works properly since there are no separate install-{arch,indep}
  rules).

- Added binary-% rule that permits building of individual packages.

- The binary rule, instead of depending on binary-{arch,indep}, does
  call debian/rules binary-common with no DH_OPTIONS.

- Use touch $@ statements, that is, without using the name of the stamp.

- use += for DH_COMPRESS_ARGS, allowing the common set of extensions to
  be centralized.

It has come to my attention that I want to use Replaces, not Conflicts.
script renamed and altered to read Replaces. The concept that a package
conflicts with another package if they contain the same file is kept.

Add the check-conflicts script. This checks for conflicting files in
packages which are currently in stable, testing and unstable. Run it
from the source directory below the debian dir. 

Bugs and features:
 * You may need to edit if to change which Contents.gz file it uses.
 * Does not check non-US Contents.gz
 * Should print out additional conflicts in debian/control
 * Speed. apt-file takes ~3s to iterate Contents.gz. This takes ~36s to
   iterate the file 3 times.
