  - now uses cdbs files from sugar packages
  - run automake
  - add configure flag --with-pic
* switch from cdbs to quilt
  - split gfortran patch into gfortran-hack.patch and wno-long-double.patch
  - add patch to fix broken Makefile.am in interfaces/src/python
* latest Standards-Version
* TODO: investigate freemat for matlab interface
