<title>Display visibility on OldWorld Powermacs</title> |
| 152 |
<para> |
| 153 |
Some OldWorld Powermacs, most notably those with the "control" display |
| 154 |
driver but possibly others as well, may not produce a colormap which |
| 155 |
reliably results in visible output under Linux when the display is |
| 156 |
configured for more than 256 colors. If you are experiencing issues with |
| 157 |
your display such that after rebooting, you can sometimes see data on |
| 158 |
the monitor, but in other occasions cannot see anything; or if after |
| 159 |
booting the screen turns black instead of showing you the installer |
| 160 |
interface, try changing your display settings under MacOS to use 256 |
| 161 |
colors instead of "thousands" or "millions". |
